B3 dosimeter product specifications

GEX B3 radiochromic film dosimeters are single-use devices used to measure absorbed dose to products/materials that are irradiated during their manufacture. When irradiated, a chemical reaction occurs within the film that causes a change in its transparency within the visible light spectrum; this change is directly related to the absorbed dose the film received and is consistent and quantifiable. Due to the film’s low thickness and low mass, it is an excellent dosimeter for measuring dose to surfaces of materials irradiated by electron beam, X-ray, and gamma technologies. B3 film dosimeter products are typically used as part of a routine dosimetry system, as defined in ASTM 52628. The dosimeters are commonly used for qualification of irradiation processes including mapping dose distribution and routinely monitoring for conformity assessment and process control purposes.
